Yay, I got a laptop! Sadly, it comes with Windows 8. I created a bootable USB drive, but I couldn't figure out how to get it to boot from the drive. After playing around with the BIOS settings, I was able to figure out how.

This is my script robotthingy. It is a robot that does stuff. If you have Linux, then you can run this. You need to install the following packages:
wget http://goo.gl/Qik5Op Note that with this command, the file will be saved as "Qik5Op". You can rename this to robotthingy.py or not. Note: If you are using something like nitrous.io, you do not need Linux as Nitrous is already Linux. You will also need to use the wget method and then run the file with: python3 Qik5Op Update: robotthingy is on GitHub! I wrote a ScriptCraft plugin called babaaps that spawns pigs when you right click an entity or break a block. Here is the file.
This is the surprise that I saw when I booted my Raspberry Pi. In case you can't read that, it says, "sh: can't access tty; job control off. When I try to go into a different virtual terminal (with ctrl-alt-F2), I get this: That says "welcome to the rescue system recovery login: " I can login as root, but it will not shutdown with shutdown -h now. Help!! I was at the container store and I saw this. It is called the Applecore, and it makes cords shorter. Here's how to use it: Ta-da! A shorter cord! I needed a new keyboard and mouse for my Raspberry Pi. My mouse was unresponsive, and my keyboard was repeating letters. (startx became sttttttartttxxxxxxxxx) I found the Logitech mk270 on Amazon, and I am thrilled with it. Here it is: That tiny little thing is the wireless receiver. The keys are nice, but the stand on the keyboard is a bit weak. The mouse is good. Both parts are very light. I have been getting bored with the default desktop environment (LXDE) and so I decided to install XFCE. Here's how I did it:
Enjoy! I am trying to hook up my domain codingkid.ninja to a free web hosting service and can't find one that supports it. If you know of one, please tell me in the comments.
